Epoxy Resin Coating NTC Thermistor

Epoxy resin coating NTC thermistor produced by EXSENSE Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. are characterized by high precision, high sensitivity, great interchangeability and high cost performance, which is widely used in medical instruments, food industry, household appliances and other industries, as components for temperature controlling and temperature monitoring.


Today, EXSENSE Electronics introduces an epoxy resin coated NTC thermistor, which is made of doped P-type mono-crystalline silicon chip as the sensitive body. Electrodes are formed by Electroless Nickel Plating Method on both sides of the P-type mono-crystalline silicon chip, and the silver-plated copper wires are welded by tin welding on the formed nickel electrode as the leads. The temperature consistency of this epoxy resin coating NTC thermistor is much better than the common thermistor in the market, and which can meet the interchangeability requirements in use better. This epoxy resin coating NTC thermistor is manufactured as follows:


First, the P-type mono-crystalline silicon with high resistivity is selected as the substrate. The impurity platinum is mixed with the Coating Source Diffusion Method at 1200, and the platinum diffusion time is 6 hours, so that the platinum atom concentration reaches 1*1014/ cm3.


Second, using the Coating Source Diffusion Method doping gold, gold diffusion time is 2 hour at 800~1200, so that the doping mono-crystal silicon has a negative resistance temperature coefficient, B value is 3800K~3900K, the resistivity is up to the desired value;


Third, after two diffusion doped, using Electroless Nickel Plating Method to form nickel electrodes on both sides of silicon wafer;


Forth, dicing the silicon wafer with nickel electrode into NTC chip, and the silver-plated copper wires with tin are welded on both sides of the NTC chip as leads;


Fifth, coating thermistor with epoxy resin.
