NTC Thermistor Works with Cell Contacting System to Ensure Stable Operation of Battery Pack

With the rapid development of new energy vehicles, the safety and stability monitoring of battery packs has become a key issue. Among them, battery temperature management is one of the important measures to ensure the long-term stable operation of the battery pack and improve the service life of the battery pack. Due to its temperature-sensitive nature, NTC thermistor works with CCS cell contacting system to provide excellent protection for operation of battery pack.

In the design scheme of CCS, the NTC thermistor is typically mounted on the FPC, and the FPC is set on the battery cover and electrically connected directly to the battery. When the battery pack starts working, NTC starts to measure the temperature in real time to provide accurate temperature data for the BMS battery management system. On the one hand, the BMS will evaluate the operating temperature and status of the battery pack in real time according to the temperature data provided by the thermistor, so as to prevent the battery pack from overheating during the charging/discharging process and prolong its service life. On the other hand, the real-time temperature measurement of the thermistor can also help the BMS detect the abnormal temperature rise of the battery pack in time, and trigger the corresponding safety protection mechanism, effectively prevent thermal runaway accidents and ensure the safe operation of the battery pack.

With the help of NTC thermistor, the battery pack can adjust its operating state in real time to ensure that it is in the optimal operating temperature range.
